Helmut Federle receives the 2016 Ricola Collection Prize

The 2016 Ricola Collection Prize goes to the Swiss artist, Helmut Federle, who lives in Vienna. The award includes prize money of 20,000 Swiss francs, as well as a publication with laudation from the art scholar Stanislaus von Moos. The prize will be awarded on January 20, 2016 at the Ricola headquarters facility in Laufen (Switzerland).

With Helmut Federle an artist wins the Ricola Collection Prize, who in his work brings western modernism and its languages into an ever-changing association with other cultures, epochs, and traditions, and who is personally committed to understanding art as “a mirror of higher-level existential issues”.

As a worldwide, family-owned company, Ricola stands not only for high-quality products and tradition, but also for an international, modern, and open Switzerland. The joint shareholders in the Ricola Family Holding have been extending the Ricola Collection with contemporary art from Switzerland since 1975. Interaction with contemporary art is all part of the family culture and corporate culture. The collection is exhibited in the business premises of the corporate group, making it accessible to employees on a daily basis.
