2016The 2016 Ricola Collection Prize went to the Swiss artist, Helmut Federle, who lives in Vienna. The award included prize money of 20,000 Swiss francs, as well as this publication with laudation from the art scholar Stanislaus von Moos. The prize was awarded on January 20, 2016 at the Ricola headquarters facility in Laufen (Switzerland).
With Helmut Federle an artist won the Ricola Collection Prize, who in his work brings western modernism and its languages into an ever-changing association with other cultures, epochs, and traditions, and who is personally committed to understanding art as “a mirror of higher-level existential issues”.
